Hipstamatic vol. 4

Friday, June 1st, 2012

There are plenty of ways to cook up a fish but just remember, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

So if you know how to fish, make sure to teach your friends so yall can have a lifetime of fun on your blades.

Local Photos from Pacifica CA

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

Gene Steagall, Ryan Evanchick, Danny Bovee and Erik Newman hit up Pacifica, CA last weekend to get some photo’s and video deals. They seem to prefer the flat, rectangle rails which I give them props for finding 2 of those to skate in the same day since those are no fun if you miss locking your tricks.

Dre’s Monday Photo Submission

Monday, April 23rd, 2012

Nick Lindsey caught Dre doing this gap over the weekend. 760 is the code. Somebody should go one up him on the gap and submit their photo to derek@aggressivemall.com. If it’s good enough maybe I’ll send out a free prize and put the photo on the blog.*

*Not an official contest, maybe means maybe. At the very least you will have a cool photo of yourself to put on your social networking front pages. Always feel free to try and collect from Dre.

Dre’s Tuesday Picture Submission

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

Dre (Paco Ass Dre), submitted this picture to post up on the blog. It was a soyal to wallride, but the soyal part is still being confirmed just like the ongoing debate on whether Dre is a student and actually attends any classes. Photo credit goes to Nick Lindsey.

Thanks for the submission. Keep them coming.

BCSD XI Rando Pics. BCSD XII Next Week!

Friday, February 17th, 2012

So BCSD XII is next week and if you don’t already have your flight purchased, you still have time to arrange something whether you make it there by plane or start driving now. BCSD is a really fun time and a good place too meet a bunch of folks from the rolling community. You can get all the info you need at www.bittercoldshowdown.com

Here are some random pics that I took last year which have a little bit of everything and a little bit of nothing (skating not included). Yes a lot of the pics are blurry just like parts of the trip were.

The trip started off with a slight blur from wild turkeys on southwest.

Silvestre and Nick: SoCal Adventure Part 1 of 3

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

I had asked Silvestre to take some photos of his and Nick’s trip down to SoCal so that we could post them on the Amall blog for some new content and he shocked (KAPOW!) my mind with a full on comic book. I don’t know what program he used to create the comic book cells of all of the photos but they look great. I broke his cells into a 3 part series, so this is this is the 1st part and the next 2 parts will come in the next couple of days.

Thank you Silvestre!!! And thank you to everyone else involved!

And it begins…

Recovered from New Years

Monday, January 9th, 2012

Almost everyone recovered from New Years and the Holiday Madness of December to get out and skate this weekend. California has yet to see any significant amount of rain this winter and this weekend was no different. Not a good winter for anyone doing snow sports up in Tahoe especially our buddy Arjunkel who has a season pass to a resort that is not even close to being opened yet. But for California bladers the weather has worked out quite nicely for weekend sessions.

Here are some screenshots from Tim Boomerweisermaha’s laptop.

Hipstamatic vol. 3

Friday, December 9th, 2011

Justin (theee JH) has been developing his skills at running down stairs while filming with his Glidecam to get some really cool shots. This definitely takes some practice so that you actually keep the skater in the shot while at the same time making sure that you don’t bail down the stairs yourself and hulk all of your filming equipment, especially the new camera you might be hoping to get this Christmas.

In this picture, Justin is catching Nick Lindsey on the first stair set of his two rail line where Justin was sometimes following Nick down the 2nd stair set and sometimes running along an upper walkway to vary the shot. It is actually really fun to watch the whole process and it always puts a smile on anyone’s face who has never seen Justin hustling down stairs with his Glidecam in hand.

Hipstamatic Friday Vol. 2

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

We had an interesting time at this undisclosed location of public learning where they publicly lock your cars inside the gates making you have to publicly break out. No thanks to all of the thoughtless people who know you are there enjoying the publicly funded location and don’t say that they are locking you in.

Tim Bahooomaaahaa (his real last name had to be classified for this article) went back to the past to have fun on these fat 60’s or 70’s style rails. Not to be confused with the rails folks were into in the 80’s.

New Amall shirts - New colors

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

(click photo for pic)

Team rider Victor Arias came through the other day to help us promote the new aMALL shirts, which we just released in a bunch of new colors. The v-necks have been a huge hit, of course Vic wanted to rock one for his photo. So here he is, wearing the AM Subtle v-neck in charcoal gray while he laces a picture perfect true miz. on the lower ledge to fish transfer, all while local NON-lookers moseyed about and chewed on rocks.

See all the new colors after the jump.

Sylvestre the lone sniper in position to get the shot. Notice the blades on his feet for a quick getaway just in case his location becomes compromised. It has been rumored that he practices breathing techniques daily but he has neither confirmed or denied that.
