Bullet Prufe 2013 Jeans

Tuesday, April 16th, 2013

Bullet Prufe just released their new 2013 jeans which are just in time for the prime aggressive skate season as the weather starts to warm up across the country. Bullet Prufe jeans are my current favorite to wear and I already picked up a new pair of the Blackout 3.0’s even though my Blackout 2.0’s are still holding up.

Bullet Prufe denim definitely is designed to last the longest out of all of the jeans available to aggressive skate in. For 2013 they made 5 different colors for you to choose from.

Prometheus

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

“Big things have small beginnings”

At Amall we like aliens of all types, especially the type that is one day going to abduct Thee JH. Seriously it’s going to happen. Anyways I saw the Prometheus trailer a little while back and got inspired to put together a package deal in anticipation for the movie. I suppose I could have made a Power Rangers pack if Eulogy made pink wheels, but I think those fools are long gone and dead anyways.

We already had someone use this pack for party favors to give out which made me think that I wish I went to parties with Eulogy wheels as the party favor gift.

“Showing my love for all things Amall. Always been my fav. company and I wanted to get something rollerblading related so whenever I’m done skating I always have that good memory.”

Thanks man, it means a lot to us too. Believe it or not, it’s things like this that keep us motivated and pushing forward.

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

We’ve got a pair of used Valo Cool Snake skates listed on eBay right now, starting at $0.01 with no reserve cuz reserves are for chumo’s!

These have size 11 liners in a toe cut size 10 shell.

They are in pretty good shape and definitely have plenty of life in them. They were not grinded on too many times on the street and were mainly used for some park sessions. The original Valo wheels don’t even show much wear on them.

The skates come with Valo frames, Valo wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, GC anti rockers, extra Valo midsoles and extra GC Featherlite 2 frames.

Kaltik Innovates the Flat Frame

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

Kaltik recently developed a new innovated design for flat frames that just came out of production. Instead of increasing the spacing between the 2 inner wheels they decided to make a deep groove that prevents a portion of the inner wheels from touching the object you are grinding on. These frames allow you to ride flat with up to 60mm wheels (and possibly bigger… I only had 60mm to test the fit).

Kaltik offers the Stephen Swain pro frame in white and their pro team frame in gray.

KG juiced on Kaltik!

Discovery HD Theater: Focused

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Last night I was randomly watching the Discovery HD Theater channel and saw a preview for a new show called Focused which is supposed to feature a look at the camera folks who make all of the awesome shots in extreme sports happen.

I did not watch any episodes yet but the preview looked pretty cool. Unfortunately I don’t think any rollerblading camera folks will be featured. Also unfortunately some of the YouTube comments made it seem like the show actually does not “Focus” enough on the camera folks and how they get their shots. See for yourself…

Adjustable aggressive skates for your younger siblings

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

It’s always the perfect time to get your younger brother and/or sister into aggressive skating to help create a stronger generation of skaters with more skills than your World of Warcraft character.

But as a helpful reminder, we recommend that you don’t cheap out and get them some abominable Walmart creation that just barely resembles skates.

Noooooooooooooo

Soccer balls, WTF?!
kids-skates-3.jpg

Lucky for you and your siblings, USD just released their new JoJo Transformer adjustable skates which look awesome and Razors makes their extremely popular Genesys Jr. model. Both of these models are actually meant to be used for aggressive skating and function like the adult sized versions.

Have more fun at the skatepark =)

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Here’s a list of ways to make your skate park experience that much better. Feel free to add your suggestions in the comments below and win the satisfaction of helping others have more fun.

neil-happy-blog.jpg

The items are in no particular order…

1. Invite every rollerblader you know to come out to the park for a big session. Set a date and time etc…

2. Bring an extra pair of skates for the local kids to try out and get hooked on aggressive skating. A kid was skating some garbage “box store” skates and JH (AKA OMH) let him try on our shop pair of Carbons and the kid was stoked.

3. Bring a mini BBQ and cook up some food. Hot dogs are cheap as heck. Just keep the food outside of the park. I can’t stand it when everyone trashes the parks with spilled drinks and melted ice creams.

4. Have extra parts and tools with you. Nothing will ruin a session faster than loosing your bolts.

5. Skate something new at the park. Always skating the same park ledge in the street course? Why not try out the bowls and gain some skills on the coping.

6. Travel to a park you’ve never been to before or rarely go to. We just went to this small SJ park last Saturday that some of us had never been to and it was extremely fun.

7. Stretch and warm up ahead of time. Can’t stress this enough.

8. Film and take pictures. Really easy to catch all of your friends on camera having fun and doing stunts.

9. Upgrade to better wheels and bearings. You will be surprised at the difference they make, especially skating transition. You will roll smoother and faster with way less effort. I recommend Swiss bearings and Eulogy wheels.

10. Wear all your pads so that you are not constantly getting broke off. But…. if you don’t like to wear pads, you can still sneak some thin knee pads or gaskets under your jeans without anyone noticing and at least save some wear and tear on your knees.

11. WATER. Keep your session going longer by staying hydrated.

12. Keep it positive. Yes it’s corny or whatever, but this post is about having more fun at the park.

13. Challenge yourself with tricks outside of your comfort zone. If you go to the park and do basically the same tricks on the same obstacles every time you are going to progress at a very slow rate and most likely get bored of skating park.

14. Skate the whole time… if you want to improve your skills and add to your bag of tricks faster.

15. Go out for wings and beer (soda if your under 21) after the session. Great way to replenish the body and keep everyone in good spirits.

16. Say what up to the new guy/girl skating at your local park. Grow the aggressive skate scene.

17. Put up your favorite stickers. Props to Will for getting Aggressivemall stickers the highest up at the SJ Lake Cunningham park.

Now go tear up your local skatepark and have fun with your friends. Just don’t forget to still skate street spots or else Dre (AKA Paco Ass Dre) will be disappointed.

CDS Detroit Soul Plates of Yester-years: Lock on those early 90s rails

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Flash back 15 years when aggressive skate technology was just starting to progress and CDS Detriot made these wonderful soul plates to attach to your Roces or Rollerblade skates.

I was at my folk’s house the other day and I found a pair of Roces Moscows and some of my old used CDS soul plates that I remember installing on an even older pair of Roces. Well this is how you had to attach them on your skates. Damn that was a huge soul plate area that really locked you on those early 90s rails…

Gather together some tools.

Drill some holes.

And BAMN! Your ready to soul grind your way to the X-Games.

Bored? Build stuff with what you got and skate it.

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Sometimes you just got to be a little creative and put together some random objects to have a fun little skate session. We took an old couch out we had chillen in the back, a slightly busted rail, a drill and some screws and ended up with a couch coping session. It didn’t last too long because after a little while the rail started breaking in the middle and the couch started collapsing. In the end though it was worth the small effort it took to make it happen.

We even filmed the 270 back royal trick tip for you that you can view here. Just in case you missed the first post.

Lake Cunningham night session 6/17 (everyone go again).

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

That’s right. You get your 24 hour notice that we will again be going to California’s LARGEST skate park this  Wednesday night from around 7-9:30(when they close).  Remember it’s $5 to skate, but we found out it’s free to park.  You will probably need something to cover your elbows (a l/s shirt, pads, socks, bagels etc.) and most definitely a helmet.

Trust MFG: Liners, tees and a proper fitted hat!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Trust MFG jumps on the scene with some fresh liners for all you rollers out there that have been waiting for high quality liners to put in your skates.

Trust spent a lot of time on R&D for their liners and went through tons of samples to develop a finished liner that fits well, feels good and looks damn awesome in skates.

Also check out their logo infused tees and a fitted hat that is the most comfortable hat I own to date. Seriously!
