CDS Detroit Soul Plates of Yester-years: Lock on those early 90s rails
Flash back 15 years when aggressive skate technology was just starting to progress and CDS Detriot made these wonderful soul plates to attach to your Roces or Rollerblade skates.
I was at my folk’s house the other day and I found a pair of Roces Moscows and some of my old used CDS soul plates that I remember installing on an even older pair of Roces. Well this is how you had to attach them on your skates. Damn that was a huge soul plate area that really locked you on those early 90s rails…
Gather together some tools.

Grab your old school skates.

Drill some holes.

And BAMN! Your ready to soul grind your way to the X-Games.

I got some CDS grind’stones’ even before the soul plates, so I could ride anti rocker and grind in my hockey skates! It was such a cool feeling when blading was fresh and evolving. Now the remz OS skates i got have soul areas at least as big as the CDS plates gave you and tiny wheels but I don’t like the feeling, clunky and slow! I want some rollerblade TRS skates with 68mm / 54mm setups again!
